Therapy Beyond theSurface
It can feel like everywhere you look, someone is telling you there’s another part of yourself you need to heal.
Your nervous system. Your attachment. Your childhood. Your relationships. Your patterns.
There’s always another book to read, practice to try, or “better” version of yourself you’re supposed to become.
At some point, healing can start to feel like another way you’re not quite doing enough.
And yes, I know the irony. You’re reading this on my website, where I’m telling you about therapy.
But I don’t believe you’re a project to complete. Healing is not a finish line you’re failing to reach.
This is what draws me to depth psychology. Instead of only asking, “How do we make this go away?” we get curious about what’s underneath:
Why does this pattern keep showing up?
What might this part of you be protecting?
What has been pushed aside or left unexplored?
What might be asking for your attention?
The goal isn’t to become a better version of yourself. It’s to understand yourself more deeply and become more fully who you already are.
TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPY, ROOTED IN DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY
Rooted in depth psychology, my approach to trauma informed therapy integrates Jungian therapy, psychodynamic therapy, somatic awareness, shadow work, and relational work.
We’re not only interested in what’s happening on the surface. We get curious about the patterns underneath, where they came from, what they may have protected, and what they might be asking of you now.
In our work, we can explore:
Recurring patterns you understand but still find yourself repeating
Shadow work + parts of yourself you’ve learned to hide, reject, or push away
Your body + nervous system and what they may be communicating
Protective responses with curiosity rather than judgment
Earlier relationships + experiences and how they continue to shape the present
Dreams, symbols + your unconscious through a Jungian and depth-oriented lens
More choice in how you relate to yourself, others + your life
This kind of trauma informed psychotherapy makes room for your history without reducing you to it.
Whether we’re drawing from Jungian therapy, psychodynamic therapy, shadow work therapy, or somatic approaches, the goal isn’t to find another part of you that needs fixing.
This work is to help you understand yourself more deeply, relate to yourself differently, and create more room for who you’re becoming.

Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy
Our inner lives are shaped by unconscious processes long before we have words to understand them. How your nervous system responds day to day, how you show up in relationships, the stories you carry about yourself, and your overall sense of wellbeing are often shaped by experiences that were registered quietly and early, outside of conscious awareness.
Depth-oriented psychotherapy is an invitation to gently turn toward these unconscious patterns with curiosity and care. Rather than focusing solely on symptom management, this work supports you in going beneath the surface to understand why certain patterns formed and what they have been protecting. Therapy becomes a space to listen to the psyche through emotion, bodily sensation, images, dreams, intuition, and symbolic meaning, all within a trauma-informed and psychologically grounded framework.
In our work together, we explore how mind, body, emotions, and relational history interact over time. Drawing from integrative psychodynamic and Jungian depth psychology, this approach attends to unconscious patterns, early relational experiences, and nervous system responses that continue to influence how you experience yourself and others. This process often increases your capacity to be with a fuller range of emotions and internal experiences with greater steadiness and self-compassion.
This journey supports you in more deeply embracing who you truly are, letting go of identities shaped by survival rather than choice, and cultivating a greater sense of meaning and belonging in your life. I specialize in working with intuitive and highly sensitive adults who have experienced relational or complex trauma, including C-PTSD, and who are navigating long-standing challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty trusting themselves, and a persistent feeling of being different, on the outside, or like the “black sheep.”

Holistic + Intuitive Guidance
Holistic Guidance offers an integrative depth-informed approach for individuals seeking greater clarity, alignment, and meaning in their lives. Rooted in presence, attunement, and compassionate inquiry, this work invites a slower and more intentional relationship with your inner experience so that insight can translate into conscious choice and embodied action.
These sessions are relational, reflective, and experiential. Together, we create space to pause, explore what is currently alive for you, and notice patterns of perception, motivation, and response that shape how you engage with yourself and the world. Rather than analyzing or fixing, the focus is on cultivating awareness, perspective, and flexibility, allowing new ways of relating to emerge organically.
This work draws from contemplative, depth psychological, archetypal and somatic-oriented traditions that support attunement to the body, emotions, values, and intuitive knowing. Integrative practices may include reflective dialogue, embodied inquiry, symbolic exploration, myth and story, the Enneagram, and the occasional use of archetypal tools such as tarot or oracle cards. These practices are used as supports for meaning-making and self-understanding.
Through this holistic guifance process, space is created to meet inner experience with curiosity, clarity, and respect. The emphasis is on integration and alignment, supporting purposeful action, meaningful self-understanding, and a more embodied, intentional way of living.
Holistic Guidance services are available worldwide.

I’m a depth-oriented therapist and coach, and I know firsthand the importance of having spaces where we can be deeply seen, understood, and supported. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in restorative justice and have published research in the Humboldt Journal of Social Relations.
Maybe you’re looking for more than coping skills or another explanation for why you feel the way you do. You want to understand yourself in a way that actually changes your relationship with who you are.
That’s why I believe so deeply in a depth-oriented approach. To me, it’s more than a therapeutic modality. It’s a way of relating to ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment, and trusting that even the parts of us we struggle with may have something meaningful to say.
I’m a triple spaniel mom, Enneagram nerd, and elder emo. I’m endlessly interested in what makes each of us uniquely who we are. That same interest shapes how I work. I’m warm, thoughtful, and engaged, and I won’t sit silently while you do all the work. This isn’t another space where you have to perform or get it “right.”
I’ll bring my clinical experience, my humanity, and my presence.
You bring the beautiful complexity of being you.
Hi, I’m Nadia!
